The Solution

Turning Trucking88’s ambitious idea into reality meant more than just building an app—it required a solution that truly reflected the demands of the trucking industry. For that, we rolled up our sleeves and dove into a carefully planned development process, ensuring every step aligned with their vision.

Here’s how it unfolded:

Discovery & requirements gathering

We kicked things off with detailed discussions. The goal was simple—understand exactly what Trucking88 needed. This phase was about mapping out a clear path forward from their objectives to the features they dreamed of.

Prototyping & wireframing

Armed with our insights, we moved into designing. We created app mockups using Figma, keeping the interface both intuitive and professional. Each iteration included feedback from Trucking88, fine-tuning it until everything clicked.

Technical planning

Development

The heavy lifting began here. Using Bubble.io, we built a no-code application that ticked every box. We integrated tools like QuickBooks for seamless financial management and Stripe for secure payment processing. To make the app truly mobile-friendly, we utilized Progressier, ensuring the application worked just as flawlessly on drivers’ devices.

Testing & QA

With functionality in place, it was time to test. Every feature, from the client dashboard to the super-admin panel, underwent rigorous QA to ensure smooth performance. Whenever bugs or bottlenecks popped up, we tackled them head-on.

Deployment & handoff

Once everything ran like clockwork, we launched the app. But we didn’t stop there. We’ve been actively involved in ongoing app maintenance and developing additional features as Trucking88’s plans evolve.

Our Roles

Developer
  • Anastasia Volkova
  • Alesya Marova
QA
  • Vadim Novikov

The project was completed in well-defined stages, with milestones for each application section.

We worked with Trucking88 to hand over every component for testing, ensuring they could see and use the features as they came to life.

One major challenge arose during the development of their order management system. The trucking industry is complex and requires serious focus to translate into app functionality.

Thankfully, Trucking88’s experts provided invaluable insights, and together we cracked the code, delivering a system that matches their operational needs.

The result?

A solution made for the trucking industry, built to make life easier for everyone from business admins to drivers on the go. Trucking88’s app is now an essential tool for managing operations, one milestone after another.

The Challenge

Trucking88 came to us with a big mission—and an even bigger puzzle to solve. As seasoned pros in the trucking industry, they knew the ins and outs of their world like the back of their hands.

Their goal?

To create software that could simplify the dispatching process and bring a fresh layer of efficiency to small and medium-sized trucking businesses. It wasn’t just about tools; it was about empowering these companies to handle logistics and daily operations easily.

But tackling this challenge wasn’t as simple as slapping together a web app.

The trucking industry isn’t exactly straightforward. We’re talking about a system packed with complex workflows—loads to dispatch, routes to map, schedules to coordinate—all running at what feels like breakneck speed.

Trucking88 needed solutions that weren’t just functional but intuitive. Every user, from fleet managers to drivers, needed tools that made sense to them at first glance. Anything less would risk slowing down an industry that runs on razor-thin margins and tight deadlines.

That’s where we stepped in, ready to dig deep into their world.

Trucking88 laid out their vision for a no-code solution built on Bubble.io—a smart, adaptable platform for quickly spinning web and mobile apps without heavy coding. But to make it work, we’d have to first untangle their daily reality.

How do trucking businesses really operate?

What’s working, what’s not, and where can technology step in without creating roadblocks of its own?

The challenge wasn’t just making their ideas come to life. It was turning the intricate workings of the trucking world into something simple, user-friendly, and effective for all.

Discover how NerdHeadz developed Trucking88, a transportation management system designed to optimize trucking operations in the logistics industry.

Trucking88 didn’t just want to build a tool; they tried to build it. Their plan was bold yet practical—an application that would simplify their internal operations and become a must-have solution for other trucking businesses.

Their vision extended beyond one company.

They wanted to create a subscription-based platform accessible to small and medium trucking businesses looking for smart ways to manage their logistics and daily grind.

Here’s what they imagined:

  • An all-in-one platform that trucking companies could use to get rid of scattered spreadsheets, annoying paperwork, and endless back-and-forths.
  • A combination of web and mobile applications—the web app for admins, dispatchers, and managers, the mobile app for drivers on the move.
  • Simple subscription tiers, so companies could start small and scale up as they grew.

Trucking88’s concept focused on features that tackled the real pain points of trucking logistics. Here’s what made it to their wish list:

  • Order Management
  • An efficient dashboard to track every step of an order—from creation to final delivery. Status updates, payment tracking, and invoicing—all in one place.
  • Team Communication with Messaging
  • Say goodbye to confusing phone calls and scattered messages. An in-app chat system allowed dispatchers and drivers to stay on the same page without missing a beat.
  • User, Client, and Fleet Management
  • Tools to handle everything from drivers and clients to trucks and trailers. Organized, easy to update, and totally intuitive.
  • Financial Analytics and Payroll Management
  • A deeply detailed analytics suite that takes the pain out of tracking income and expenses. Add in payroll features to automate payment processing? Game-changer.
  • QuickBooks Integration
  • Seamlessly connected the app’s financial features with QuickBooks to simplify accounting tasks, saving time and stress.
  • Truck Maintenance Scheduling
  • To keep trucks and trailers in top shape, users could schedule maintenance tasks and log the history of repairs for every vehicle.
  • Admin Panel for Big Picture Views
  • Admins got oversight of all the companies subscribed to the app, letting them manage users, plans, and app usage easily.
  • Mobile App for Drivers
  • A simplified mobile app designed just for drivers—simple, efficient, and focused on getting their job done fast.
